About Damaged rings...
Our camo rings have been coated with a special process that is the same used by car makers, gun manufatures and most other painted or decorated items (cell phones, ipods etc). The only difference is that we add an additional specially formulated powder coated clear finish to help be resistant to damage and everyday wear. This is the most durable coating on the market today.
You may not notice your car's finish when it gets a chip, but when wearing a ring that was unknowingly smacked against a hard surface or dropped on the ground, the chip will most likely be noticable. Also, chemicals or harsh cleaners can cause issues in the finish as well. It may slowly wear away the protective finish that keeps the camo looking like new. Make sure to take your ring off if working near any soaps or detergents, anything with acetone etc. Keep in mind your ring may not hold up well against riding around in the bottom of a pocket full of change or keys.
Regardless, we understand that damage can happen, our hands are used and abused daily.
That is why we offer a coating warranty.
We test our own rings under extreme usage with great results.
Occassionally, a coating can fail. There are about 5 steps to coating a ring, and if one step is not completed precisely, there may be a failure.
We have a very high quality control to prevent these issues.
